Description
This course covers the importance of promotion in the Fashion Industry and the many different strategies and techniques used. Students will develop the necessary skills to plan, produce, and follow-through on a sales promotion and a special event.
Objectives:
• Understand what promotion is and its advantages and disadvantages
• Identify the elements that are part of the promotion mix
• Develop a theme for a fashion promotion
• Demonstrate your ability to work with a budget
• Demonstrate your ability to create an effective print ad and figure the cost
• Produce a radio spot for a promotion and figure the cost
• Identify the different types of fashion shows and their advantages/disadvantages
• Plan and produce a fashion promotion event
• Measure the effectiveness of your promotional
• Suggest ways to improve the effectiveness of the promotional event
