Description

Students will learn how to account for receivables, bad debt, and inventory. This course will also provide students with an understanding of partnerships, financial statement analysis, departmentalized accounting, and managerial accounting.
Course Objectives:
• Demonstrate accounting for bad debts and maintaining accounts receivables
• Compute depreciation for long term assets
• Prepare transactions to account for merchandise inventory
• Demonstrate understanding of partnership agreements and associated accounting procedures
• Analyze the profitability and financial strength of a company using vertical analysis, horizontal analysis, and ratios
• Create a statement of cash flows
• Prepare departmentalized reports using managerial accounting techniques
• Evaluate decisions using cost-revenue analysis
