Description
This course reviews and tests the skills a student should have achieved as part of this certificate program. Students will be practicing hands-on labs and demonstrating competency in areas of safety, technician basics, basic electrical, industrial mechanics, fluid power, electrical motor controls, electric motors and variable frequency drives, programmable logic controllers, sensors, and automation troubleshooting. Prerequisite: All previous core courses or equivalent industry experience.
Objectives:
• Demonstrate proper safety with PPE (personal protective equipment) and LOTO (lockout/tagout).
• Demonstrate knowledge with basic electrical components and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrate skill with mechanical flexible drive alignment procedures.
• Create, modify and execute a manufacturing process.
• Monitor, Force, and Simulate Input and Output Signals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fluid power pneumatic components, schematics, and troubleshooting skills.
