Description
This course covers the skills an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to set up and program SCARA Robotics Handling Tool Software Packages. Students will be practicing hands-on pendant labs with industrial grade SCARA robots. Robot calibration and teach point robot commands are covered along with preventive maintenance, resolvers/encoders (absolute) robot calibration, and configuration management. This course covers technician programming focusing on specific remote IO commands and associated configuration, basic control flow, software maintenance, tool offsets, and optimizing motion. Prerequisite: AMAR 1700 Introduction to Industrial Robotics.
