Description

The Business Math course prepares students to perform mathematical processes frequently used in a business setting. This course covers basic math concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages. These concepts are applied through business related calculations such as payroll, consumer and business credit, mortgages, financial statements and ratios, taxes, insurance, and investments.
Objectives:
• Calculate wages based on different pay methods, taxes, and deductions
• Figure tax payments or refunds by filling out necessary tax documents
• Evaluate transactions and recovery amounts based on car, life, and property insurance
• Identify the differences between stocks, bond, and mutual funds
• Meet speed and accuracy requirements using the 10-key
