Description

This course prepares students to seek and obtain industry related employment and keep their jobs once they are hired. Concepts presented include job-seeking skills and essential human-relation skills that are needed to obtain and maintain employment. Skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication, networking, interviewing, and creation of resumes, and other application documentation will be taught.
Objectives:
• Develop a current resume and supporting job application documents.
• Perform successfully in a job interview.
• Demonstrate an understanding of working relationships and diversity.
• Demonstrate an understanding of personal and human relation skills.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of business and interpersonal communication skills.
• Develop and demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving strategies.
