Description

This course will provide insight into the importance of cybersecurity and the integral role of cybersecurity professionals. It will cover five key areas: 1) cybersecurity concepts, 2) security architecture principles, 3) security of networks, systems, applications and data, 4) incident response, and 5) the security implications of the adoption of emerging technologies.
Objectives:
• Understand basic cybersecurity concepts and definitions
• Identify components of security architecture
• Recognize the methodologies and techniques for detecting host- and network-based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies
• Understand incident response and handling methodologies
• Identify network traffic analysis methods.
