Description

This entry-level course provides an introduction to the core principles of Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity. Students will be introduced to both attack and defense strategies within the field of Information Security.
Objectives:
• Understand key terms of Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking
• Learn the 5 steps of the hacking process
• Understand the basics of Cryptography
• Install Kali Linux and identify various hacking tools packaged with the Kali OS
• Learn reconnaissance, scanning, malware, and exploitation techniques
• Learn simple procedures and tools for MitM, flooding, spoofing, and user identity attacks
• Understand basics of Cybersecurity incident response and recovery processes
• Learn about hardening, detection, user security, and web security
