Description

In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of threat and vulnerability management and how to employ tools and methods to secure data and infrastructure and respond to security incidents. This course prepares students for the CompTIA CySA+ exam and serves as a foundation for advanced security credentials such as the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).
Objectives:
• Implement appropriate tools and methods to perform an environmental reconnaissance of a system or network
• Gather data and analyze the results of an environmental survey
• Describe and implement techniques and procedures needed to secure an organization’s information systems environment
• Classify threat data or activities to ascertain the impact of a security incident
• Manage incident response, recovery, and reporting
