Description
This course is the first in a two-course series designed to prepare students to pass the examinations for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). This course presents network concepts, including hardware, software, topologies, network management and problem diagnosis. Additional topics include stratified load forecasting and the critical evaluation of the effectiveness of alternative network topologies. Students will learn PC hardware & software; making cables; structured wiring installations; building and troubleshooting simple LANs, networking; layered communications, OSI model, internetworking devices, IP addressing, LAN media & topologies, and electronics.
