Description
Students can choose from the certificate program curriculum (available at www.batc.edu/programs). Sequences of course delivery will be determined in a consultation between the student and instructor/department head. The growing field of IT includes areas such as network and system administration, computer hardware, software and security. Areas of concentration include:
? CompTIA A+ certification covering computer hardware and basic operating system troubleshooting and repair.
? CompTIA Network+ certification focusing on network development, implementation and management.
? Operating systems of all types, including Mac OS X and Linux, for managing hybrid environments.
? Server administration including setup and management of enterprise-level servers.
? Security specialization for analyzing and securing systems.
