Description

An individual employed in a welding position is considered to possess a prerequisite amount of knowledge, attitude, skills, and habits required to perform welding procedures that involve routine, predictable, repetitive, and proceduralized tasks. Students will be given a detail blueprint which they will have to interpret and perform eight different welding tasks using five welding processes.
Objectives:
? Students will convert mixed numbers into fractions
? Convert S1 (metric) and U.S. (customary) units
? Follow detailed instructions
? Read a measuring tape
? Work from welding blueprint
? Read and interpret welding symbols
? Safely setup and operate various welding machines
