Description

Discover different types of sensors and how they are applied. This course introduces students to the concepts and terminology of Instrumentation-Process control using theory and a hands on approach used in many Temperature, Pressure, Level, Flow, and Automatic Control applications. This course will cover the operation of various safety devices such as light curtains and safety relays. This course will expand on the knowledge of load cells and applications. Students will be able to configure and troubleshoot load cells. The student will also learn how to calibrate a scale head and how to read information from the load cell into a PLC. Prerequisite: AMAR 1600 Programmable Logic Controllers 1.
