Description

This course will introduce the Studio 5000 Logix Designer (previously known as RSLogix 5000) and the CompactLogix PLC. The student will be required to wire, program, and troubleshoot various systems. The student's final project is to program a process on an actual machine.
Objectives:
• Learn Studio 5000 Logix Designer programming, including tags, subroutines, timers, counters, math, and compares
• Learn CompactLogix and ControlLogix hardware capabilities
• Learn PLC wiring
• Program a complete process from scratch
