Description

A course on the development of working drawings for a single family residence using current, industry standard, architectural CAD software. The class includes introduction to architectural 3D models. Students will develop a complete set of residential building plans using an architectural CAD software program.
Objectives:
• Demonstrate concepts of design development.
• Create floor layouts, details, and elevations.
• Create walls and roofs.
• Insert windows and doors.
• Apply plumbing, cabinetry, and HVAC system.
• Control entity display for differing appropriate situations.
• Develop complete construction drawings from 3D models.
• Operate industry standard software to develop a complete set of residential architectural plans.
