Description
This course provides students with the skills necessary to interpret and understand medical terminology in order to be successful in the pursuit of health occupation careers. A programmed learning, word building approach will be utilized. Abbreviations will be introduced as related terms are presented.
Objectives:
? Construct and analyze medical terms using prefixes, suffixes, word roots, combining forms, special endings and plural forms
? Spell, define and pronounce medical terms
? Utilize medical terminology and abbreviations in health science contexts
